MAYFIELD, KY — It is music to musicians’ ears. From acoustic and electric guitars to keyboards and banjos, WoodSongs’ twister relief effort was pretty the results. They ended up providing away free devices Friday to the Mayfield neighborhood for those people who lost instruments in the Dec. 10 tornado.

The party was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and for most of that time the line was wrapped all over the Graves County Public Library. Not even extended lines and spotty showers could hold absent songs enthusiasts from Mayfield. Virtually 600 devices ended up donated from throughout the nation for persons like Kimberly Doran. She dropped all of her devices the evening of Dec. 10.

“The key thing was the piano. That is the 1st matter I checked when we bought again to the property. I played a chord, so I understood there was significant drinking water damage,” suggests Doran.

She is hoping to swap her electric powered keyboard, one thing that wouldn’t be possible without this occasion.

“I just do it for my own enjoyment these days. I do miss out on getting my keyboard,” says Doran.

It was a fantastic turnout. They ran out of some instruments just before the event was in excess of. Johnathon states this is the turnout they desired.

“We can not rewire the streets and we are unable to set roofs on homes, but we can accumulate devices from all over the country by working with the WoodSongs group, this nationally syndicated local community that we have, and it worked,” suggests Johnathon.

The Mayfield neighborhood has dropped so significantly, and Johnathon understands that. Devices won’t switch the lives shed and houses ruined, but he’s hoping to give back again with the art of music.

“Western Kentucky justifies their art and new music. That’s all I preferred to do was enable bring it back again,” suggests Johnathon.

Which is what he did, and with it, he even brought a very little hope for people like Doran.

“It is critical not to give up on your hobbies and the things that provide you joy in existence,” says Doran.

Mayfield was their initially cease for the weekend. They’re heading to Dawson Springs Saturday to hand out instruments to tornado survivors there.
