WoodSongs to obtain, distribute musical devices to EKY communities

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — WoodSongs, a broadcast firm, and folksinger Michael Johnathon have teamed up to restore tunes to Appalachia immediately after the floods.

Tunes instruments of all varieties are staying gathered now until finally Friday, Sept. 30. Right after the devices are inspected, polished and refurbished, they’ll be distributed to any person or organization afflicted by the floods for free.

“I believe that adore is the greatest transaction of the arts, it drives every thing we do, anything we build and every thing we sense,” Johnathon said in a push release. “This is a time to place our politics, opinions and divisions apart and be loving neighbors to all those in genuine, actual need. Let us not underestimate the consolation audio and art can provide to households and neighbors in a time of great loss. When the time is correct, we will be there.”

WoodSongs is asking for donations of trumpets, trombones, flutes, drums, clarinets, guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins, keyboards, upright basses, electric devices, amps or a lot more.
