Peter Frampton has shared his feelings about his impending induction into the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame, likening Ozzy Osbourne to Betty White in the process.

Frampton also spoke of Cher’s preceding public declaration that she would not show up at the induction ceremony following previously staying snubbed: “Oh, go on, Cher! We want you there. Other functions being inducted this year include things like Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner and Kool & The Gang. Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield will be inducted in the Musical Excellence category, although Alexis Korner, John Mayall and Big Mama Thornton will be honoured with the Musical Influence Award. Leisure producer Suzanne de Passe will obtain the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

All of the above names will be inducted for the duration of a ceremony held in Cleveland on Oct 19.
